Sustainers are our Partners.Sustainers are our Partners. Sustainers live a busy life and have many commitments, yet they make the effort to support us. They are compassionate, and feel so bad for the animals in need, that even though they cannot be at the rescue in person and help us with us with the daily care of our animals, they can provide us with the monthly support that has quickly become the foundation of our rescue organization. We cannot do what we do without your support, and that is why you – just as much as our staff and volunteers and animals are The Beare Garden Animal Rescue. When you sign up to become a Sustainer for our rescue, you became part of our family and team, which has one mission only: to help as many abandoned, abused, and forgotten animals as we can.

The purpose of this grant is to increase the number of adoptions from our cat center at PetSmart in Greenville. We are using funds to hire a part-time adoption ambassador to expand our adoption hours and help more cats find forever families. HELP US SAVE THOSE WHO ARE OUT OF TIME
BGAR is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer charitable organization (FEIN is 85-1574125) dedicated to finding forever homes for pets who are seeking a loving family. We focus on those in public shelters who are out of time as well as those in immediate danger that other organizations cannot help. We are a fully licensed NC Animal Rescue Shelter (NC license #368) with 100% compliance with state regulations. We serve approximately 20 counties in North Carolina but focus on Eastern rural NC. We have saved approximately 1900 animals (primarily cats and kittens), but also dogs. We help owners who are facing financial difficulties keep their beloved pets who are their family members by offering food, veterinary care and medication. We currently help families in three states. Our facility was donated by an animal advocate and our labor and utilities are covered by private funding. We operate on a shoestring budget, but provide the best possible care and lots of love to each and every animal under our care. All donations go strictly to the veterinary needs of the animals as well as food if enough is not donated. We have a network of wonderful loving fosters that allows us to help meet the undending need. We are often the last chance for so many animals. We have saved so many that were injured and would have been put down if we hadn′t stepped in. We would love to share some of our victories (the animal′s victories with you). We are making a difference in impoverished areas. We received NO federal, state or local funding. We rely strictly on donations, fundraisers and the goodwill of the communities we serve.
